The process of “Protecting the Value of Your Property” is not an easy one to accomplish but typically holds the biggest financial value.  In fact the journey is often immeasurable and homeowners typically face challenges created since their community’s very existence.   According to the Community Association’s Institute (CAI), there is an estimated 10,000 community association management companies that exist today in America.   So how does a community’s Board of Directors choose the “BEST MANAGEMENT COMPANY” or service provider for that matter when there are so many to choose from?  Price? Location? Years of experience?

I guess the real question is: Can you really put a price on added value especially when a single mortgage alone is worth more than most budgeted annual management contracts?

• Imagine you’re about to purchase a pair of shoes for $125 but the salesman informs you that the item you wish to buy is on sale for $120 at the other store.  It’s a 20 minutes drive. Would you make the trip to the other store?
• Now Imagine you’re about to purchase a picture frame for $15 but the salesman informs you that the item you wish to buy is on sale for $10 at the other store.  It’s a 20 minutes drive. Would you make the trip to the other store?

The majority of you will make the drive for the latter but not the former due to the purchase value (in this case, its lower percentage of savings although it’s the same discounted dollar amount) that is placed for this item DESPITE its location.
